More about the ice (berg) island

Q: Just how big is it?
A: Check out this short video!
It has lakes, rivers and water falls...birds, seals, (no bears that I noticed),.... pieces breaking off all the time,....it moans and groans... bubbles and boils....ice towers, ice faces...and of course super duper air conditioning

Icebergs at Fleur De Lys, Newfoundland and Labrador

July 18, 2011

Icebergs are back in Fleur De Lys (on the Baie Verte Penninsula, Central NL) and many more (much much larger) bergs heading down to there!! Dale Shea from FDL was our skipper! Thanks to the Dorset Soapstone site who notified us of the bergs. Images by David Hayashida.
